Abrasion Value Of Cube
Determination the Wear from the difference in the readings obtained by the measuring gauge before and after the abrasion of specimen. Check the value with the average loss of thickness of the cube.
By using formula-
t=10(w1-w2)/w1*A
t=Avg loss of thickness in mm
w1=Initial wt of specimen in grams
w2=Final wt of the abraded specimen in cm
v=Initial volume of specomen in cm3
A= Surface area of specimen in square cm
Specimen-
1. M25- Initial wt.of cube-872gm
final wt. of cube-868gm.
2.M25 16/2 fibre- Initial wt. of cube-858gm.
Final wt of cube-850gm.
Procedure-
1. Total 22 revolution of machine after fixing the cube.
2. total ten repeat this.
3.After every 22 revolution Rotate the cube at 90 degree.
